**Required assignments: For each lesson that is taught in a chapter you will be given the choice of two assignments to receive your daily homework points (10 pts). **8. Alfonzo works for a lawn service company. It takes Alfonzo ¾ hour to mow a lawn. If he works more than 8 hours, he gets a ½ hour lunch. Write and solve an inequality to find the number of lawns he can mow if he works at least 14 hours. (3 pts)**

**9. Keiko prepared 28 bags of granola to sell at a school fundraiser. She also received a $10 donation. Write and solve an inequality to find the price she should charge for each bag of granola if she wants to raise at least $115. (3pts)**

**10. Sofia recycled 3 pounds less that the amount that James recycled. Hannah recycled 3 times the amount that Sofia recycled. If they recycled a total of 53 pounds, how many pounds did Sofia recycle? (3 pts)**

**11. Tim is taking the train to Seattle to visit his grandparents. He has at most $15.00 to spend on snacks and reading material. Granola bars cost $1.15 each, and magazines cost $1.25. If Tim buys the same number of granola bars and magazines, how many can he buy? (3 pts)**

**12. Nomar has earned scores of 73, 85, 91, and 82 on the first four of five math tests for the grading period. He would like to finish the grading period with a test average of at least 82. What is the minimum score Nomar needs to earn on the fifth test in order to achieve his goal? (3 pts)**
