Junior High Information
If I am in Junior High where should I be? You should be in the Junior High Hall, unless you have a note from a teacher. You should never be in the High School Hall, except to get an admit slip for class when you have been absent or to pay lunch money in the office. Both of these should be completed first thing in the morning when you arrive at school. You are not to be in the locker room unless you have PE or coaching. If you have FACS class or computer class you will go to that class using the closest door at the end of the High School hall, you are not to use the stairs to the center hallway. The center hallway stairs are to be used only to go to PE or coaching.
As soon as you get to school, if you want breakfast, you should go to the cafeteria. You have approximately 15 minutes to eat breakfast and get to your first hour class. After you have eaten, follow the sidewalk to the Jr. High hallway and put your things away, get the supplies you need for 1st hour. If you need to use the restroom, do so now and then report for 1st hour.
Lunch Time You will exit the building through the Jr. High doors and follow the sidewalk to the cafeteria. You stand in line in an orderly fashion and wait your turn. If you have Jr. High detention you will report to the detention area. Otherwise, you will find a place to eat. You may leave your table to return your tray, but otherwise you should remain seated during lunch period. When you are dismissed, you are to leave the cafeteria through the Jr. High exit and return to the Jr. High hall, and then go to your next class.
What do I do, where do I go if I am here before 7:50? If the weather is suitable, you will wait in front of the Jr. High hall doors. If the weather is not suitable, too cold or too wet, you will wait in the Jr. High foyer. You are not to be at the lockers, in the locker room, in the restroom, at the office, in the gym or in a teacher’s room before the 7:50 bell (unless you have been given permission from that specific teacher).
Junior High is a time of transition. You have more freedom, but you also have more responsibility.
